Week 1 Fantasy Football Rankings (0.5 PPR) — August 31, 2026

Posted August 31, 2026. Ahead of Week 1, we averaged rankings across 10 independent fantasy football outlets to build consensus, half-PPR-leaning position rankings. As always on Fantasy Injury News, check the injury notes below each tier before you set your lineup — several players here carry real Week 1 risk.

Methodology

For each position, we pulled current rankings from 10 sources — FantasyPros, CBS Sports, Footballguys, RotoWire, 4for4, Razzball, DIRECTV Insider, FantasyFootballCalculator, numberFire, and Yahoo Sports — and averaged each player’s rank across every source that ranked him. A player needed to appear on roughly half or more of the relevant sources to make the board. Most sources publish PPR or standard boards rather than a half-PPR-specific split, so this list is a PPR/standard consensus lightly adjusted toward 0.5 PPR — true half-PPR order would nudge pass-catching backs and slot receivers very slightly down versus full PPR. Some position boards (RB, WR, TE, DST) run shorter than a typical big board because deeper bench-tier players simply didn’t have enough independent source coverage to average reliably this week.
