Kyler Murray Out, Carson Wentz Starts for Vikings; Skattebo, Wilson Sit Week 9

Posted November 7, 2026 at 8:25 AM ET

Saturday morning brings a quieter news cycle than Friday’s flurry, but one storyline moves lineups more than anything else: Kyler Murray’s hamstring strain has already cost him his job for Monday night, with Carson Wentz set to start for Minnesota against Buffalo. Elsewhere, Friday’s final injury reports locked in several Sunday designations β€” Cam Skattebo is doubtful, Garrett Wilson and Rashid Shaheed are out, and a run of Questionable tags (Amon-Ra St. Brown, George Pickens, Jake Ferguson, Emeka Egbuka, Hunter Henry, Kyle Monangai) will go down to game day.

Our 🟒/🟑/πŸ”΄/βšͺ tiers are editorial availability-risk calls, not NFL designations: 🟒 trending toward playing Β· 🟑 availability uncertain Β· πŸ”΄ elevated risk of missing, or confirmed out Β· βšͺ bye. Questionable/Doubtful/Out labels appear only where a team’s final injury report has been released β€” true for Sunday’s games as of Friday, Nov. 6 β€” while the Bills-Vikings Monday night report had not yet come out as of this writing, so that line reflects Thursday’s practice report and reported team news instead.

Quarterbacks

πŸ”΄ Wentz to start Monday β€” Kyler Murray (MIN): Murray will not start Monday night’s game against Buffalo. Head coach Kevin O’Connell named Carson Wentz the starter on Thursday after Murray was sidelined with a hamstring strain, per CBS Sports. The team is describing the move as week-to-week rather than a long-term benching. Fantasy Action: Bench Murray in all single-QB formats; Wentz is only a desperation streamer in superflex or two-QB leagues behind a full Minnesota offense.

πŸ”΄ Out β€” Sam Darnold (SEA): Darnold (quadriceps, ribs) is out for Sunday’s home game against Arizona, confirmed on Friday’s injury report. Drew Lock gets another start after a limited Thursday practice that reflects normal in-season maintenance rather than a new issue. Fantasy Action: Lock is a streamable QB2 in deeper leagues with Seattle’s receiving corps still banged up around him.

Running Backs

πŸ”΄ Doubtful β€” Cam Skattebo (NYG): Skattebo (hamstring) was limited in practice all week and is doubtful for Sunday’s game at Philadelphia, per Friday’s report. Devin Singletary steps back into the lead role if Skattebo is ruled out. Fantasy Action: Have Singletary active as a flex option, and treat Skattebo as a game-time call until Sunday’s inactives post.

🟑 Questionable β€” Kyle Monangai (CHI): Monangai (thumb, toe) is questionable for Sunday’s home game against Tampa Bay after another limited practice week. D’Andre Swift already handles the bulk of Chicago’s workload regardless of Monangai’s status. Fantasy Action: Swift remains a confident starter either way; only stream Monangai as a touchdown-dependent flex if he’s active.

πŸ”΄ Out β€” TreVeyon Henderson (NE): Henderson (illness) was ruled out on Friday for Sunday’s home game against Green Bay, per Boston.com. Rhamondre Stevenson remains New England’s lead back. Fantasy Action: Bench Henderson; start Stevenson as an RB2 with the backfield to himself.

Wide Receivers

πŸ”΄ Out β€” Garrett Wilson (NYJ): Wilson remains in concussion protocol after not practicing all week, and he’s officially out for Sunday’s game at Kansas City. Adonai Mitchell becomes the Jets’ top healthy target in his absence. Fantasy Action: Bench Wilson; Mitchell is a sneaky flex add if you need receiver depth this week.

πŸ”΄ Out β€” Rashid Shaheed (SEA): Shaheed (knee) was downgraded to out on Friday’s report. Cooper Kupp and Tory Horton absorb more of Seattle’s passing-game work against Arizona. Fantasy Action: Bench Shaheed; Kupp is the safer veteran target share to roster if you need bye-week fill-in help.

🟑 Questionable β€” Amon-Ra St. Brown (DET): St. Brown (rib) was limited in practice but still carries only a questionable tag into Sunday’s game at Miami. Fantasy Action: Start him with normal confidence; Detroit’s final inactives rarely surprise with him listed.

🟑 Questionable β€” George Pickens (DAL): Pickens (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday’s game at Indianapolis after a limited practice week. Fantasy Action: Start him if he’s active, but confirm before locking lineups β€” check Sunday’s inactives.

🟑 Questionable β€” Emeka Egbuka (TB): Egbuka (foot) practiced fully on Thursday and is only questionable for Sunday’s game at Chicago. Fantasy Action: Trending toward playing; start him with normal confidence.

πŸ”΄ Out β€” A.J. Brown (NE): Brown (knee) was ruled out on Friday for Sunday’s home game against Green Bay, per Boston.com. DeMario Douglas is New England’s top target with Brown sidelined. Fantasy Action: Bench Brown; Douglas is a viable flex in PPR leagues.

πŸ”΄ Out β€” DeVonta Smith (PHI): Smith (hamstring) was ruled out on Friday for Sunday’s home game against the Giants, per NBC Sports, and fellow receiver Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) is out as well. Darius Cooper tops Philadelphia’s healthy receiver depth. Fantasy Action: Bench Smith; Cooper is a flex option against New York.

Two more wideouts are worth watching for Monday night without an official tag yet: DJ Moore (Buffalo) and Jauan Jennings (Minnesota) each logged a limited or no-practice day this week, but the Bills-Vikings final report typically lands Saturday rather than Friday. Fantasy Action: Check back Saturday evening for both players’ designations before setting Monday lineups.

Tight Ends

🟑 Questionable β€” Jake Ferguson (DAL): Ferguson (ankle) is questionable for Sunday’s game at Indianapolis after a limited practice week. Fantasy Action: Start him if he’s active; he’s Dallas’s clear starting tight end when healthy.

🟑 Questionable β€” Hunter Henry (NE): Henry (foot) is questionable for Sunday’s home game against Green Bay. Fantasy Action: Streamable TE2; confirm he’s active in pregame inactives before locking your lineup.
