It’s a quiet morning after a busy Tuesday of Ravens quarterback news. Joe Fagnano is officially Baltimore’s starter for Thursday night’s trip by Jacksonville now that Lamar Jackson is on injured reserve, and Tyler Huntley won’t be available behind him. Away from Baltimore, three players added to Week 9 injury reports over the last day — Matthew Stafford, Kyler Murray and James Cook — are still a few practices away from clarity.

🟢 trending toward playing · 🟡 availability uncertain · 🔴 elevated risk of missing, or confirmed out. These are our editorial risk tiers, not NFL designations. Quarterbacks
🟢 Named Thursday starter — Joe Fagnano (BAL): Ravens coach Jesse Minter confirmed Tuesday that the undrafted rookie will start Thursday night’s home game against Jacksonville, making him the second undrafted rookie quarterback to start for Baltimore in franchise history, per ESPN. Fagnano is managing his own ankle injury — he was seen at a recent practice wearing a brace — but has not missed a practice report entry serious enough to threaten the start. Baltimore added Kedon Slovis off Green Bay’s practice squad as his backup and signed Austin Reed to the practice squad behind him.
Fantasy action: Fagnano is a desperation stream only in one-quarterback leagues against a Jacksonville defense that still generates pressure; he’s a stash-only name in superflex formats until he shows he can throw downfield.
🔴 Ruled out — Tyler Huntley (BAL): Minter ruled Huntley out for Thursday’s game with a toe injury in the same Tuesday availability report that named Fagnano the starter, per ESPN. Huntley had been on the injury report with the toe issue since the weekend.
Fantasy action: Huntley has no path to snaps this week; he’s droppable in shallow leagues and irrelevant everywhere else until he’s back at practice.
🔴 IR (thumb) — Lamar Jackson (BAL): Jackson went to injured reserve this week after thumb surgery stemming from an injury suffered on Baltimore’s first offensive snap against Buffalo on Nov. 1; coach Jesse Minter has not set a timeline and said he could “potentially” miss the rest of the season, per our tracked feed and ESPN’s reporting on Fagnano’s promotion.
Fantasy action: hold Jackson in an IR slot in superflex and dynasty formats; drop him in shallow single-quarterback leagues where a roster spot matters more than a long-shot return.
🟡 Feed: questionable — Matthew Stafford (LAR): Stafford was added to the Rams’ injury report with a right thumb issue ahead of Los Angeles’ Week 9 game at Washington, and he’s carried a questionable tag on our tracked feed since Monday. Los Angeles’ own practice reports this week will say more about whether it affects his throwing.
Fantasy action: keep Stafford in lineups for now, but check the Rams’ Wednesday and Thursday practice reports before trusting him at Washington.
🟡 Feed: questionable — Kyler Murray (MIN): Murray picked up a hamstring issue that our tracked feed added Monday ahead of Minnesota’s Week 9 Monday-night home game against Buffalo.
Fantasy action: don’t bench Murray yet, but watch Minnesota’s midweek practice reports closely given how late in the week his game falls.
Running Backs
🟡 Feed: questionable — James Cook (BUF): Cook joined Buffalo’s injury report this week ahead of the Bills’ Week 9 Monday-night road game at Minnesota. No body-part detail has surfaced yet on our tracked feed.
Fantasy action: treat Cook as a game-time call for now; Buffalo’s practice participation reports later this week should sharpen the picture before Monday night.
🟡 Feed: questionable — Christian McCaffrey (SF): McCaffrey carries a questionable tag with a calf issue on our tracked feed ahead of San Francisco’s Week 9 home game against Las Vegas on Sunday at 4:05 PM ET. The 49ers’ first Week 9 practice report has not been released yet, so there is no team-reported participation to go on this morning. Fantasy Action: keep him in lineups and check San Francisco’s Wednesday-through-Friday reports before kickoff.
🟡 Missed Week 8 — Breece Hall (NYJ): Hall (quadriceps) was inactive for the Jets’ Nov. 1 game against the Raiders, his fifth straight missed game, and the team is reportedly hoping he returns in Week 9, per RotoWire. The Jets visit Kansas City on Sunday at 1:00 PM ET. Fantasy Action: keep him benched until he logs a full practice this week.
🟡 Day-to-day — Cam Skattebo (NYG): Skattebo felt his hamstring on his final run in overtime, and Giants coach John Harbaugh said Nov. 2 that he is day-to-day and could be a game-time decision for Sunday’s game at Philadelphia, per RotoWire; he was working with trainers Monday, per NBC Sports. Fantasy Action: start him if he is active, but line up a 1 PM fallback in case he sits.
🔴 Missed Week 8 — TreVeyon Henderson (NE): New England downgraded Henderson to out with an illness before its Week 8 game at Miami, and he was inactive, per Patriots.com. The Patriots host Green Bay on Sunday at 4:25 PM ET, and their first Week 9 practice report is not out yet. Fantasy Action: hold him and slide him back into lineups once he practices fully.
Wide Receivers
🟡 Missed Week 8 — A.J. Brown (NE): Patriots coach Mike Vrabel called Brown (knee) questionable for Week 8 on Oct. 30, per NBC Sports, and the team then downgraded him to out for the game at Miami, per Patriots.com. Our feed still lists him questionable (ankle) heading into Sunday’s home game against Green Bay. Fantasy Action: hold Brown and start him only after he logs full practices this week.
🔴 Inactive in Week 8 — DeVonta Smith (PHI): Smith (hamstring) was inactive for Philadelphia’s Week 8 Sunday-night game at Washington, per the Eagles’ inactives report. The Eagles host the Giants on Sunday at 1:00 PM ET, and their first Week 9 practice report is not out yet. Fantasy Action: bench him until he is back on the practice field.
